If you are a nerd like me and Brandon Sanderson, you love maps. You love books with maps and the thought of perusing the map as you read along sends shivers down your spine. Okay, okay, I'm being overly dramatic, but still... maps are cool.
Making them, however...
I've tried dozens of map tools and every single one let me down for one reason or another. I wanted a tool to let me customize my map to the stories I've already written, but I also know I'm not random enough to mimic nature. I wanted texture, elevation, icons, routes, rivers, names, all sorts of little details that make a map feel real and not just something I slapped together in Paint.
Let me tell you, this tool is a game-changer. You can customize everything about your world. Everything!
Why Azgaar's Fantasy Map Generator?
It's Free!
Maps are yours to use as you wish, even publish.
Amazing auto-generated and fully customizable maps.
Names can be generated based on cultures, including fantasy races or custom lists.
Great features, continuous development, open-source.

Spent time with Artifexian Worldbuilding? Want to make your planet with the tilt and temperatures and such? You can do it. You can paint biomes, temperatures, heightmaps, cultures, religions, languages... the list goes on and on, but the best part? You don't HAVE to paint any of it. You can generate the map randomly and use it from there. It can be a world map, or a region map. Heck, it even has city map generators integrated, which are also customizable.
TLDR: With Azgaar's Fantasy Map Generator, you can do as much or as little customization as you want and come away with exactly what you are comfortable with.
Adding maps to your book is a great way of making your story feel more immersive and appealing to the visual junkies out there. It can help with continuity, pacing, logistics. Heck, it can even give you extra conflict if you are in a lull and need something to spice up your story. I look forward to seeing the maps and stories you create. Enjoy!
